Inclusion in Russian Theatre: The Apartment Case

Nika Parkhomovskaya and Boris Pavlovich present their work with inclusive theatre and The Apartment (Квартира), a unique social and cultural space which they have established in St. Petersburg.
The Apartment is an inclusive space dedicated to social and cultural communication. Approximately thirty theatre professionals and nine people with learning disabilities have been involved in creating four separate productions as well as several other happenings in the space since it was established in November, 2017. The Apartment is funded by the Alma Mater Foundation.
The talk is followed by an informal discussion.
The venue is accessible. Accessible entrance through yard (Yrjönkatu 16). Please contact the organizers for further details.
The talk is held in English. During the discussion, feel free to use English, Finnish, Swedish or Russian. We’ll do our best to provide improvised translation.
The event is free of charge.
