Sense of Hope is a duet created by Carl Knif in collaboration with Emil Nordman and Eero Vesterinen. This autobiographical piece draws inspiration from Emil’s own experiences of loneliness and exclusion. Despite its dark theme, the performance seeks to evoke light and warmth through text and dance. Can we come to terms with our past? How do we find our way back to the light? These are the questions the performance poses.

"Sense of Hope has a very personal theme. The performance is moving and presented in a way that is clear and relatable to all. The jury was also charmed by the truly professional execution and the collaboration between professional dancer Eero Vesterinen and Emil Nordman, whose personal experiences are shared on stage. Vesterinen and Nordman skillfully created a shared world of movement. Sense of Hope is a production that should certainly be seen beyond Finland.
